FABULOUS GARDEN PARTY TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HOPE FOR HOME!

The sun shone! The birds sang..and Anne’s garden was an easy match for Kew!

Over 30 of our Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire supporters and friends gathered together to enjoy this glorious summer day in Anne’s garden.

Anne had dedicated many days to baking, potting up plants for sale and putting the final touches to her magnificent garden for this event. We were all rather apprehensive about the weather, since the previous day had seen spectacular electric storms, with tropical rain; parts of Bedfordshire suffered power cuts for a few hours as a result.....not good if you are baking for a garden party the next day!

 Fortunately, the day dawned bright and sunny, and the weather could not have been more perfect   for our first summer garden party.

Friends enjoyed sumptuous cakes in the beautiful, tranquil garden surroundings. ..but the calm did not last long once everyone had settled down to exchange news and views, and the volume of laughter was high!

Anne raised £214.18 for Hope for Home, which was a truly magnificent total. This will contribute directly to the costs of printing information pamphlets for carers, which we hope to produce within the next few weeks.

Another marvellous piece of good news is that Anne had kindly agreed to be our representative in Bedfordshire......Thank You Anne!!
