HOPE FOR HOME AT THE LONDON MARATHON 2010

            YES! We have two heroes running to raise funds for Hope for Home in April  2010!

Hope for Home’s fundraising team in the London Marathon is   Philip Woolf and Martin Leather. 

Why have they made this huge commitment of time and energy to support HOPE FOR HOME?

 Philip says: “I’m running for Hope for Home because it’s well documented that care for dementia is severely under-funded.  We hope that running for Hope for Home can provide much needed support to help people to care for their loved ones.”

Martin says: “I had no hesitation in agreeing to run for Hope for Home.  The training period for a marathon is nowhere near as tough and challenging as the times faced by individuals with dementia or Parkinson’s disease and equally their family and friends.”

HOW YOU CAN HELP

MAKE AN INDIVIDUAL DONATION NOW

Go to www.justgiving.com and key in Hope for Home in the ‘Name of Charity’ box.  From this page you can check out news of the team with photos and click to make your donation. This is the easiest way to give to Hope for Home.  

MAKE A GROUP DONATION

If you decide to collect funds from other people, thank you so much for your time and effort.  Please use the Sponsorship Form attached to collect your sponsors.  If you need more forms, please photocopy this one before you start or e-mail  home@hopeforhome.org.uk for a further supply. 

GIFT AID To help Hope for Home make the most of your donation, tick the Gift Aid box at Just Giving and on the Sponsorship Form.  By ticking, you are confirming that you have paid UK income tax and/or capital gains tax equal to the tax reclaimed by Hope for Home.  Then the charity can prevent the 22% tax on their donation from going to the Inland Revenue.  If the sponsor is not present when the form is filled in, (e.g. if done by phone) you may tick the box on the donor’s behalf, with their verbal consent.  If the donor is not a UK taxpayer, please don’t tick the box.  

TO PAY IN THE FUNDS AFTER 25 APRIL

Pay in the total funds collected through www.justgiving.com as an individual donation (see above).  Then return the completed Sponsorship Form to Hope for Home, indicating that you have paid in on line.  Individual sponsors on the form may choose to make their own donations direct to Just Giving.  Just indicate this on the form by noting JG by their names.

BY POST – To mail your donation, send a cheque for the total moneys on the form (minus any marked as paid direct by the donor) together with the completed Sponsorship Form to:

PLEASE RETURN FORMS AND MONEY BY FRIDAY 14 MAY

The total raised will be published on the website by the end of May.
